The February 2019 workshop participants with our friends from Europe Direct!

Chaque équipe qui souhaite participer au Speak out! 2019 devra obligatoirement suivre un stage de préparation.

Les stages pour les lycéens du Cantal, de la Haute-Loire et de l'Allier auront lieu dans les établissements participants. Contacter rapidement M. Nettleship (ortisbateau@gmail.com ou 06 64 41 64 96) afin de convenir d'une date de stage.

Pour les lycéens du Puy-de-Dôme, le stage a lieu à Massillon (5, rue Bansac, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand). Le stage de 15 heures (sur deux jours) est gratuit.

Le stage consiste en un travail sur la prise de parole en public.

Le stage est collaboratif, pratique, interactif, ludique...

Dates des stages pour les lycéens puydomois, sous réserve de modifications (l'équipe choisit son stage) :

> lundi 25 & mardi 26 février 2019 (pendant les vacances d'hiver)

> lundi 15 & mardi 16 avril 2019 (pendant les vacances de printemps)

Horaires: de 09h00 à 12h00 et de 13h00 à 17h30

Chaque candidat doit s'inscrire dès que possible (et au plus tard une semaine avant) le stage choisit par son équipe au 04 73 98 09 70 (Accueil de Massillon). Donnez votre nom, prénom, classe, lycée, adresse mail, n° téléphone et n° téléphone des parents.

MONDAY AM

9:00 to 9:30 Massillon, Salle des Fêtes
> Welcome, quick presentations and introduction (aims of the workshop).
What is a speech?

9:30 to 11:00
Videos of public speaking events (extracts)
> List the pluses and minuses, from your point of view, of each speech.
> Discussion

11:00 to 12:00
Prepare a 3 minute speech!

Choose a topic from this list:
  • My greatest achievement.
  • I was the victim of an injustice (and how I reacted).
  • My ambition.
  • “The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.” Winston S. Churchill
  • The cause(s) I support (that you should support too!)
  • What I would do as President.
  • How Generation Z (people born since 2000) will save the world.
  • (Your own topic!)

MONDAY PM

HOMEWORK: learn (an extract of) a speech by an orator you admire!

TUESDAY AM

> Presentation of the CIED
> Free documents
> Games: test your knowledge of the EU and Europe
> Talk by Eric Egli, President of the Mouvement Européen Auvergne: the major issues facing the EU.

In turn: act out a speech given by an orator you admire!

14:00 to 16:00 CIED
Choose your question inspired by the theme.
